The place for Specialty Coffee at Strijp-S
Community Square started in August 2024 as a small Specialty Coffee shop on Strijp-S. Nowadays, you can come here for the best coffee, homemade treats, and lunch dishes, as well as workshops, catering, events, and products for your home.
We source our coffee beans from Dutch roasteries, with Back to Black Coffee as our main supplier. Every few months, we put a new roastery in the spotlight. We also enjoy collaborating with local entrepreneurs. For instance, we get our cheese from our neighbors at KOST kaas en delicatessen, and our kimchi is made by Kimchi meid.
About Strijp-S
Strijp-S is the vibrant heart of the former Philips site in Eindhoven. Since 2000, the site has been transformed into a cultural hub for living, working, and recreation. It is a beautiful blend of old and new. For instance, you can still find original Philips buildings there, such as the Klokgebouw, the Ketelhuis, and the Apparatenfabriek, where Community Square is located. Strijp-S is very easily accessible by both train and bus, and there is plenty to do all year round.
What is there to do at Strijp-S?
Events are regularly organized at Strijp-S. For instance, the FeelGood Market takes place monthly, and Hit the City and the Night of Strijp-S are organized annually. Additionally, Strijp-S is the place to be during Dutch Design Week.
There is also plenty to do on a regular day. You can easily combine your visit to Community Square with a tour of the Foundation We Are exhibition, a game at JoTo’s Boardgame café, or an inspiring visit to New Order Of Fashion.

Community Square is also known as the 'hidden gem' of Strijp-S. Due to its industrial looks, you could easily walk right past it. Fortunately, we have an entrance on both sides of the Apparatenfabriek, and once you have found it, you will never forget where it is.
